The Airport Security Coordinator oversees the whole security of the Airport Grounds and is responsible for having a contingency plan for most possible incidents/accidents, liaising with the local fire department so that Airport Security and Fire/Safety personnel are ready for joint operations with local security and safety forces.
The Coordinator oversees the work of the contracted security personnel and among its many responsibilities is that all the security equipment is functional from cameras to door locks and logistics from access control to evacuation routes.
There are over 40,000 airports with codes given by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), a United Nations sponsored group, the Airport Security Coordinator Course covers all these main aspects and more, from preparing the roster of your team and hiring outside security personnel to handling bomb threats and many more scenarios that are possible.
This course is offered by the academy but taught 100% Online by the staff of the International Security Training and Development Institute (USA).
A private tutor will be assigned to you in order to assist you with the course completion and any questions you could have about the course.
The average completion time for this course is twelve weeks and the maximum allowed time is one year but you can request an extra year extension based on personal reasons.
